Locals resume work to fight against desertification on Kubuqi desert

China has placed great emphasis on building an ecological civilization and made great headway in the prevention and control of desertification.

People have resumed work to pave sand barriers for more than 11,000 mu (some 733 hectares) of Kubuqi desert to fix the sands, preparing for the plantation of psammophyte in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
